One year ago, I introduced the PFAS Action Act and promised my constituents Congress would move comprehensively to address the PFAS contamination crisis. This week the House will vote on my legislation to list PFAS as a hazardous substance under the Superfund Program.
This will accelerate the cleanup process, along with a package of other important bills from my colleagues. The EPA has grossly abandoned its responsibility to protect human health and the environment from PFAS—Congress is now acting.
