If you’re from Michigan, you know #PFAS has contaminated our waters and is an issue for many people. 3 of my amendments that will ensure we take real steps and tackle this crisis head on were included in the NDAA (Defense bill)
My three Amendments (bipartisan as well) will stop us from kicking the can down the road when it comes to #PFAS contamination. It will provide real change.
The Recovering America’s Wildlife Act (RAWA): As many of you know, our wildlife is slowly dying. That’s why I introduced strong, bipartisan legislation that will reinforce our commitment to preserve our nations wildlife.
RAWA will put forward bold solutions and provide money to states to save species like the monarch butterflies and other animals we hold dear to our hearts. #RecoverWildlife
Long-term healthcare:
Long-term #healthcare is broken. The system is a mess.
The @EnergyCommerce committee held a markup on my provisions that will solve this problem, and help the millions who struggle with this issue.
It’s time they get the support they need.
