What auto workers really need is to be able to build cars and their parts in the USA. If you were actually concerned w auto workers here in Michigan you would be pushing for parts and components to be made and sourced in the US.
The threat of tariff’s on Mexico would have created an economic disaster for Michigan. This reckless action threw a grenade into NAFTA discussions and we still don’t know the details. With respect, it was Democrat policy that drove auto manufacturing to Mexico in the 1st place. Same reason I left Michigan 30 years ago. I'm not a tariff fan but I don't think you are on the right side of reality.
