The US must be an honest broker between the Palestinians and Israelis. Closing the PLO office, along with designating Jerusalem as the capital & cutting aid to Palestinian refugees, raises tensions and will make it more difficult to address the root causes of the conflict.

The root of the conflict was creating the state of Israel without creating the state of Palestine after the colonial powers of France and England broke apart and divided the Ottoman Empire. Seems to me that they should be working together to fix the problem.
