Even though he beat the Vikes in the 1977 Super Bowl (which my dad took me to!) I join all football fans in mourning the loss of Minnesota native and coaching and broadcasting icon, John Madden. 🏈

I was sad to hear this news, too. He may have spent most of his growing up years in California, but his earliest days were in Austin, MN. I always thought that was cool as kid, growing up there.
