Politicians win their primaries by pandering to the extremes. After that, they run to the center to pick up moderates. When elected, they vote along party lines and rarely break ranks. I can only hope you are above it.

Lincoln was quoting someone greater than himself. Mark 3:25. Jesus defending himself from the Pharisees calling him Satan. In context Christ is pointing out his own divinity, what his work on earth would accomplish and how to lose your salvation. Mark 3:22-3:30.
