We should consider closing all ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) immediately to free-up large supplies of PPE, medication, monitors & equipment, and allow their use as satellite treatment & testing centers. Would also free-up ASC docs & nurses to volunteer at hospitals as needed.

For a bad cold virus. Let the hospitals decide on a case by case basis before your statist tactics are needed.

As a nurse, I can tell you that while those nurses who work at ASCs are licensed to provide inpatient care, many of them have not in a long time and may not feel comfortable putting their license at risk by doing so.

The part for conserving PPE is valid, but many HCW’s who have jobs at ASC’s also work at hospitals so are one and the same. I would be concerned about volunteering, somehow they would need to be paid. #COVIDー19
