Today, Senator Feinstein and I applauded this development and called on MTC to act urgently on an additional crossing, which would do more than any other project to alleviate congestion in the region.https://desaulnier.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/senator-feinstein-and-congressman-desaulnier-respond-mtc-s-announcement …

Congressman, as your constituent and someone who voted for you last election, this is a terrible mistake that cannot be continued. We need another transbay tube!

Where would all the cars go in SF if you built another car crossing? Has
@RepDeSaulnier tried to park in SF lately? Regional Measure 3 from that we'll be voting on in Nov. is the right approach and the product of considerable regional study by@MTCBATA. I support it. (1)Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Unfortunately
@RepDeSaulnier is: a) Against@MTCBATA#RM3 that'll help the whole region including#CD11; but b) For a 2nd bay crossing that'll encourage more cars onto already crowded streets. That's disappointing and the wrong approach (2)Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

We should be studying a second
#transbaycrossing for trains (#BART,#CapitalCorridor, and#HighSpeedRail), not for cars. Building more congested bridges to the 20th century is a bad approach. (3/end)Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

With all due respect sir, I don't think a car-based solution is the answer to decongestion. People cross the bay because of their jobs. Generate more opportunities across the Bay (SF peripheral) and provide support for mass /modular transport systems. That is what we need.
