In our district and the larger San Francisco metro area, super commutes have more than doubled since 2005. We need smart investments in our transportation systems to more efficiently move people and goods. #TheCostOfInaction

We need to take actions that will actually shorten people’s commutes, like building light rail on the I-680 Corridor @CCTA

In favor of high-speed rail, but have to say, that one of Jerry Brown’s big arguments for it was that people could live in the Central Valley & commute to SF... was bad. We need more localism

Smart investments man that’s a oxymoron in California! Start with our roads they are a disgrace! Every state surrounding us has beautiful roads, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, if they can do it why can’t California with our budget surplus fix our roads?

We need ferry services like Sydney, Australia has. Ours are woefully insufficient and expensive.

What happened to the Ferry Service slated to be revived in Martinez? It would a huge relief for commuters, and a botential boon for Martinez. I was a regular rider of the Vallejo ferry when I lived in Benicia, and I can tell you it is a GREAT way to commute.

When my husband checked in at 5:30am to WC Kaiser same-day surgery, the admitting clerk said that he got up at 3:30am to commute from Stockton. After picking my jaw off the floor, I said, “Well at least traffic’s pretty light then, yes?” He said it was pretty heavy by then...

What we need is affordable housing in the city so that people who work in San Francisco can actually live there, and we need better jobs in surrounding areas so everyone isn't working in San Francisco.

Why not add another lane you have to pay to drive in or raise the bridge tolls another $2. That should do the trick.
