    Today is the anniversary of – a day when and civil rights activists were brutally beaten & attacked as they marched in Selma. Today we remember those who gave their lives for the right to vote and expand civil rights for all.

    54 years ago today, we were beaten, tear gassed, trampled by horses, and left bloody on that bridge in Selma. But we cannot rest. We cannot become weary. We must honor those who gave their lives for the right to vote. We must continue to find a way to get in the way.

    In Michigan, we know how important sound infrastructure is to our daily lives. From our roads to water systems—we understand the consequences of failing to invest in our infrastructure. Proud to be on the as they work to address this important issue.

    Take it from today’s W&M witness, Gregory DiLoreto: infrastructure is more than just bridges and roads. It’s the foundation of our economy. Congress must work to protect that foundation from further cracks.

    exactly right . Replacing with safer alternatives is the only way to safeguard our water and our health.

    .: We need to stop putting new chemicals into our environment. One example: we should minimize use of PFAS-containing firefighting foams, especially for training, while we work to replace these foams with suitable alternatives.
