Big Pharma doesn’t want red-tape removed. It would make it harder for them to be so profitable. All the regulation helps them as it raises barriers of entry to possible competition.

Ya, that’s exactly what we need. Even less regulation on the health care industry so that they can profit off of “cures” that haven’t been properly tested. I’m old enough to remember when products like Metabolife were causing deaths due to deregulation in the RX industry

Remember that it’s the red tape and fog er meant granted monopoly on cures for diseases that doesn’t allow for competitors to develop a better version of drugs and give individuals of options to choose a better drug than the one that got the exclusive right to produce first.

Reality: The 1st COVID-19 cases were detected in the U.S. and South Korea on the same day. S. Korea began mass drive-through testing on 2/23 and stand at 10,000 cases and declining with 158 COVID-related deaths. The U.S. has 145k cases and 2.6k COVID-related deaths and rising.

South Korea has nationalized healthcare which ranks higher than the U.S. in affordability, quality, and equity. Meanwhile, it is estimated that the U.S. will suffer over a million cases with 100,000-200,000 Americans dead. We do not have enough masks, ventilators, or gloves.

I think civilization is going to level up from this. We will learn which laws are no longer needed, which ones we need in place during an emergency, how we should and shouldn't conduct ourselves, etc. I doubt we will go back to the way it was before after something like this.
