That’s a great point. Boy, with that logic, we’ll have thousands of troops in practically every country. B/c we sure have a lot of foreign criminals from a lot of different countries who has taken the fight here!

Why are we still in nations fighting in regional, religious & civil wars with people who hate us & have been ongoing for generations? We have the resources to monitor terrorist groups & take them out before they bring the fight here using far less than 12,000 in nation troops!

How many sons, fathers and husbands is Afghanistan worth? I was fully bought in to GWOT when I deployed to Iraq, but no longer buying the fight them there not here until we are serious about victory. Just “holding the line” is not worth the price we’re paying.
