Mr Crenshaw, you speak of the social security driving costs up. If I understand correctly, social security was devised as a retirement plan that we pay into through our working life so that we have $ in our retirement. How is that driving up spending? Where is our $ gone?

generally like you, but voting yes on these bills was a mistake. 1. I don't believe in 24 hours you read the entirety of the 2 bills. 2. Voting to pass these bills continues the bad behavior of not handling appropriations as they should be.

#WeThePeople who paid into SSA for years & years couldn't prevent the federal government from taking $$$$ out of the fund to pay for other things. So now we face a lack of funds -- which WE funded with hard-earned dollars!!! WTH

Yep. Pisses me of to no end. You can't blame one party for that though. At 36 years old I'm not sure I'll have access to that money I've paid in since I was 16. My kids definitely won't. That's why it's so important to have a seperate retirement fund...

4.2 billion for the Afghanistan army? 500 million for Jordan’s border? Just those two things alone would make me burn this bill. Until our border is secure and military at full strengths say the heck with everyone else.
