Sorry but Ambassador Sondland testified that DJT asked for the public announcement because of Ukraine's long standing history of promising things to get money and then NOT coming thru once they have it. If they announced it publicly it would be much harder to reneg.

There is a legit reason to learn about it. But if POTUS is interested in curbing corruption why is he only interested in corruption that takes place in Ukrania?

Just off the top of my head, I am aware of Trump calling out corruption in the VA, Puerto Rico, the triangle countries (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador) where he has **put a hold on all aid**, and Baltimore. And, of course, Ukraine.
