200+ drugs approved by FDA & discovered by taxpayer supported NIH were given to drug makers to profit from without any ROI for the taxpayers! In fact drug makers price-gouge consumers to advertise those drugs to taxpayers!! End drug ads in TV & online media will cut prices!!

You may be correct about pharma advertising direct to consumers being a bad idea. But to say there's no ROI to tax payers is wrong. While we may initially pay a high price for new medications the benefit of the meds is a huge ROI to those who need them.

How about just publishing prices for procedures and charging everyone the same price regardless of their insurance club? More cures are created often, but they're priced at extremes. And even old medicines always get annual price increases.

Free market principles work best for DISCRETIONARY purchases where there is a lot of competition for similar, optional products. If I think your SUV is overpriced, I will buy from your competitor. This is not the case for prescription drugs. People need these drugs to live.

Well the scientists want to make a living & if consumers don't want to pay for medication they can all become investment bankers & the problem of high priced medication will be solved.
#NoNewMedication BTW all the big pharma companies provide free drugs to the indigent.
