I agree, but I genuinely believe that our President should never suggest to another country to invesigate any US citizen regardless of who they are nor why.

Exactly this. Of course there are political aspects of this. Of course there are. But that doesn’t brush away that other countries should never be invited to interfere with our elections, or investigate a US citizen for political reasons.
