@KHOU ....The thing is, if law enforcement and even military allow
their personnel to wear something that doesn't match the others' outfits, its no longer "a uniform"!!
Uniform in short means, everyone wears the same thing!!

Sikhism requires one to wear certain things: Kesh (uncut hair), Kangha (a wooden comb), Kara (a iron bracelet), Kachera (cotton underpants) and Kirpan (an iron dagger). I've never heard of any specific daily dress requirements for Catholic, Protestant, nor Orthodox Christian.

Unfortunately, a small item would be great. He was a good man. But part of uniformity is allowing for immediate identification in a dangerous situation, as well as a binder for those serving together. A turban, or a hijab do not meet those criteria.

While I understand the heart behind allowing this ,I can't help to wonder if this is the subtleness of defying the rules that leads to defiance of the law. You count the cost of rules before you take the job or move to a country or enter a persons home etc..

Understand that I am talking about the principal not this man good man personally.
