The administration has also violated both US and international law, by forcing migrants to remain in a "unsafe third country" (Mexico). That is a provision of the Protocol on the Status of Refugees, which was ratified by the Senate in the 1960s and which has the force of law.

The Flores settlement also called for humane treatment of families, which this administration routinely violates. They deliberately separated small children from their families, and lied about it. Hundreds of children have still not been reunited with their families.

False false false. They can be handled, but it will take a large number of new judges and other immigration personnel, to give them a fair hearing within a reasonable time. The administration refuses to propose this.
