Ya'll are lucky. In WA state, the environmentalists keep us from building water retention for decades and the costs will be in the hundreds of millions if we can even get there. In fact, they are trying to take out dams that provide control, irrigation, and cheap electricity.

If it’s funded, the environmental boxes have already been checked. An EHP review and report has to be done early in the process and a project can’t get funded without it.

I hope the government is going to track the money to make sure it is spent in the manner it is designated. Houston is a corrupt Democrat stronghold. It may get pocketed by them & their cronies & nothing will get done. Monthly audits need to be done!

If they were to dredge that lake, it would make rentention a lot better as well. Way too much sediment in that lake.

The vermilion in Lafayette is supposed to be 20'+ some spots are now less than 5' .... and they wonder why we have had historic floods the past few years
