Sacrifice. When I took my oath to commission, it was swearing allegiance to and defense of the Constitution. Hundreds of thousands have taken that oath and live by it every day, at home and abroad. They’re prepared to sacrifice to defend and protect our country.

Service. Not just the military or public office, but serving our communities and those around us. Volunteers teaching children to read, students working at a food bank, or neighbors helping neighbors like they did during Hurricane Harvey. #WhyILoveUSA

@PeteButtigieg plans for national service? He just revealed his plans this week to have a year of national service be common place. I think you'll like it.

In the 1950's DAR membership was considered very prestigious. I think their (and SAR) outreach to minorities was important to keep them relevant. As a 7th generation "son" I just relax and enjoy it. You should too.
