Dan, I'm glad you want to find solutions. There are a lot of outside pressures on politicians to do things that don't represent the will of citizens. You must work with Democrats to pass Election, Lobbying and Campaign Finance Reforms so that we can finally break the gridlock.

Dan: Where is the compromise to be found between those who want totally open borders and those who want to limit entry to the country to just the number of non citizens that we can successfully assimilate? Those seem to be polar opposites.

An old seasoned senator said the new congress folks need to drink more whiskey together like they did back in their day - talk things out, work out deals.... I remember seeing O’Neil, Kennedy, Graham, Nunn, http://et.al . appearing in the chamber for a vote!

Perhaps these days Senators and House members celebrating 4th of July at home or in DC should be reminded of those being told to drink from a toilet, unable to sleep, covered by a sheet of Mylar, wearing the same clothing for weeks, going without soap, toothbrushes and showers.
