Platforms are businesses. They are not public spaces (even tho they seem like it). I’m sure you understand the difference between public and private.

They also claim to be a utility when it suits them. And as a utility they are subject to addl govt oversight. They are also, in many instances, bordering on monopolies, as well. I’m as “free market” as anyone, but their market domination is a threat to the open market of ideas.
