Ppl get confused as to freedom of speech. It doesn't cover anything that comes out of ur mouth such as hate speech, slander & it also means ppl have the right to voice their opinions even if it's not PC nor the same as urs. I agree college is a grt place to debate & explore.

And Rachel, you know I'm quite liberal but it irritates me when institutions ban true free speech. Free isn't synonymous with popular. Yes it can be but it might not be yet is also entitled to be stated within certain legal mores.

The state law is needed because many of the incoming educators are not Texas native. Texas is being infiltrated on all levels because it’s doing lots of things right.

We don't need a law, there already is one = the 1st Amendment. Just start enforcing the law of the land versus wasting time writing new, unnecessary laws.

Take his bill he just signed and create a Nationalized version that falls under National Security. If losing our first right is not in the National Interest of this Nation, then nothing is.
