Natural gas is still a greenhouse gas. Its about half as polluting as oil or coal so it’s better than nothing, but it’s more like switching from Marlboro to Marlboro Light. Not exactly as big a deal as marketing would have you think.

People make the mistake of thinking just certain techs will remove us from fossil fuels. A combination of Solar, Wind, Geothermal, Tidal, Hydro and Nuclear is what we need.

Back during the energy crises of the 70's the gov determined that the only solution that was compatible with long-term growth of the human race is fusion, and that any other solution (or combination thereof) requires strict population controls.

Before you go much further please check when it was approved for this plant ro be built. You may find it was before 2016. I believe May of 2014. So before the administration starts taking all the credit for end product the jobs and work started well before November 2016.
