#MemorialDay is about remembering those we have lost. Keeping their spirit alive. Letting their families know that we are in this with them. We appreciate them. We are grateful. We will never forget.

And some marketing idiots are trying to water the purpose of Memorial Day down by mixing it with Veterans Day. I saw poppies being handed out without any understanding of what it represented or why it was connected to WWI.

Some people don't have the connection to it, they don't understand what it means to lose someone that way.
