But Medicare for all is not the answer because Medicare isn't taking care of the needs of the elderly who need it most and doctors are not available who will take Medicare in larger cities.

That is because Medicare reimbursement rates (set by Congress) are lower than the cost of services. So every Medicare patient is treated at a loss.

All the nations with the best universal healthcare have privatized systems like Switzerland and Singapore. In countries like Canada and Sweden, almost no innovation happens and it's based on the U.S. healthcare system in some respect.

I have many friends in the UK who have cancer as I do. The NHS can be a nightmare to get timely treatment. I get really shocked at the waits they have to endure just to get appts & surgery or chemo. So many pay for private care just to survive.

Sir - I believe your underlying premise is that single payer healthcare is the worse than our current system, which is expensive relative to the care it provides. It seems like it places healthcare profits over patient care. What is your plan to improve our healthcare system?

Get rid of the trial lawyers with a fixed medical malpractice payout like workman's compensation. 20% to 30% cost savings off the top.

People don't understand, when government pays for care, they can dictate how you live your life. You don't have freedom to eat whatever you want, etc. & then get care when unhealthy - other countries socialize healthcare used to have low obesity, walk, live healthy-U.S. doesn't.pic.twitter.com/KkvLhF5S4Z
