As part of this, Congress should start receiving their healthcare from the VA and spend 6-9months waiting for an appointment instead of the current healthcare they have.
House Rules Cmte is debating a Medicare For All proposal that will create huge delays in care, eliminate choice, close hospitals, end employer-provided plans & drastically raise taxes on everyone. This is not spin. These are the real life consequences of this misguided policy.

You may very well have some good points there. My problem is...and has always been...the GOP doesn't have a plan of its own that COVERS EVERYONE. Ya can't beat somethin' with nothin'.

responsible adults can generally get coverage for themselves. Any safety nets, such as Medicare, should only be for those who truly need them

What many of these proposals to provide government health insurance for everyone is that medicine & treatment will be rationed due to the cost & it will ultimately be government bureaucrats who decide if treatment will be beneficial, not you or your doctor, consider that scenario

Maybe about half the population are pleased with their healthcare because the other half are subsidizing it

I bet it's more like 10-20 % are happy because it's subsidized, 10-20 % have pretty good insurance and like it and the rest are far from pleased (I fall in that rest category now but used to like it before un-ACA)!
