Long overdue work on San Jacinto watershed. Used to be dredged routinely when I was a kid. Then went decades without until after Harvey.
Big news for Kingwood & Lake Houston: FEMA has authorized the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to remove the Lake Houston mouth bar. It’s been over 600 days since Harvey tore through our communities. Puerto Rico should not complain that they're not getting the same benefits as a state. It may not be fair, but that's just the way things work. They chose to not become a state so far, and take the benefits of that.

Good start, but dredging Lake Houston back to it's original capacity will be needed to help prevent another "Harvey" disaster. Please keep pushing this. Will help everyone in your district, including those in West Houston.
