CHOSE to take out student loans?? I worked 3 jobs in college, had academic scholarships and still HAD to take out student loans because I didn't have family money to get me through college. Saying people choose to take out loans is a very privileged opinion.
Loan forgiveness for people making up to $250k? This plan effectively asks all Americans, many of whom never got a degree, to give their tax dollars to people who CHOSE to take out a student loan so that they COULD get a job paying $250k a year. Imagine going into the military to help pay for college after. You wrote one blank check to serve, then get taxed to pay for those that borrowed $ to party in college while your ass was on the line.

Can I take out $250k of loans to pay myself back for paying for both of my children's college degrees? I was raised with the understanding that I am responsible for my decisions. My fellow Americans are not financially responsible for my kids.

Don't forget all of us who took out loans in the 80s and worked off our debt. So now that I'm done paying my loan I need to pay someone elses
