The one job Congress is supposed to do, protect the rights of the American people, is the ONE thing they are NOT doing. In fact, Congress (and their partners in Silicon Valley) are the single biggest threat to our rights.
We often hear “show me your budget, show me your values.” In the Budget Committee this week, we voted on a Dem proposal increasing spending caps, with no insight on how the money would be spent. “Values” this shows? Endless spending at the expense of my generation.pic.twitter.com/Gw0WjqigAB

Your tax return does not reflect your tax burden, just how complicated the tax code is.Everyone got tax cuts,rich,poor and corps. If you only pay 15k in taxes, and get a 5% decrease you paid 750 less. If I pay 100k and I get the same 5% i paid 5k less. 5k>750? yes i still paid 5x

GDP went up and unemployment down, consumer spending up. All things that drive other revenue channels. Decreasing taxes doesn't equal a net loss when you have offsetting growth i.e more tax payers less ppl needing food stamps, etc.

I have to say that Republicans have been spending like drunken sailors for years in the form of increased defense spending and tax cuts that are not offset to name a few.

I would rather the (our) money be spent on defense - something that may protect us - than not know where it went and have no chance of protecting us.
