I recently had the honor of commemorating her by creating the Susan Crenshaw Congressional Healthcare Innovation Award that recognizes cutting-edge efforts in the healthcare space.
She was patient #1 for Taxol, now an effective cancer treatment. She faced her illness with humor and Texas grit. I’m incredibly proud to be her son.
Thank god for your mother's bravery using taxol. I was diagnosed stage 4 lung cancer, given 9-12 mos to live. Only treatment option was chemo and taxol was part of my chemo. Still kicking it 10 yrs later. God bless.
