First, I want to thank you for your continued service to our country. I am a 58 year old grandfather and I have been sober since January of 1983. I worked with teens and adults as an addictions professional for 10 years.

I would recommend including advice from successful people in recovery as well as people that are fairly new in recovery. And please include some sound specialist with a background in harm reduction.

I like what I’ve seen from u so far so I beg u to PLEASE do ur research & bring ur common sense approach to this committee. Chronic pain patients r already affected by this push. % of ppl addicted using pain meds as prescribed is very low. And dependence is not addiction. TY!!

Thank u so much for pointin this out. People R dyin of addiction BUT that shouldn't make chronic pain patients lose successful treatment wit opioids. My Dad's a Viet Nam Vet(Medic, Horrible Hawgs)
*3 He is suffering. Other vets too! Drs need protections to treat their patients.

Representative Crenshaw, You can’t work on addiction without working on mental health issues as well. Mental health assistance is practically non-existent I the US. Please change that! I have high hopes you will!
