I was born with a disability 32 years ago. Parents given option to abort & a 50/50 chance I’d survive. If I did, I wasn’t supposed to do much of anything. I live a full life because my parents. No reason to abort a baby cuz doctors are wrong more often! #chooselife #prolife
GOP has asked for a vote on a bill that protects infants born alive after an attempted abortion. Shouldn't this already be in law, you might ask? Not according to Democrats, who won't even bring it to a vote. The left's position on abortion has reached new levels of extremism.

The fact that doctors are sometimes wrong does not mean that they are “wrong more often”, not to mention diagnoses in such cases are much better today than 32 years ago.

GOP controlled the House for eight consecutive years. They could have passed this bill at any time during those years. They also could have defunded PPact during that time. They chose not to. All those GOP members baby killers?

I am greatly disappointed in the last two years of Congress. Not exactly profiles in courage. Maybe if we'd had more Rep Crenshaws it could have happened. I believe they did succeed in stripping it out of obamacare in 2015 but he vetoed it. They didn't have the votes in Senate.

Congressman, this already is law. The protection of an infant born alive, like every living human being, is in every states' crime code prohibiting the taking of a life with intent, by reckless conduct, negligence etc. The politics of division; you're better than this.

I gotta say, stop with the left v right. We're all Americans even if we have differences of opinions. This divisiveness solves nothing and only ratchets up animosity and hatred. You, WE are better than this.

I guess it depends on what is covered under the term "induced abortion." If not all instances where a baby could be born alive after a failed abortion are covered by that language, then a new bill would be appropriate.
