Also you should not get back pay, and you should be required to have legislative sessions every single day, including weekends and holidays, until you have an resolution to the shutdown.

How about making the funding for the legislative branch dependent on passing all the appropriation bills first? Congress doesn't get paid until they do their job with getting a budget passed on time?

How about we focus on protecting the country, and setting goals to move forward economically, technologically, and industrially? I'm not seeing priorities right now.

That’s sounds great! Now if only we could agree on what protecting our country & moving forward means. We have essentially two diametrically opposed ideologies in this Country & no one is willing to compromise. This type of thing is at least a step in the right direction.
