3) The belief that because you can't put a wall everywhere (i.e. the Rio Grande), that you should, therefore, put a wall nowhere.

Finally, I do see the need for border security but a wall is not the be all and end of securing our borders. We should also utilize 21st century methods as well. The "wall" as it stands will not protect us as well as it should. Mr. Crenshaw, don't be a sheep. Please.

Drones, cameras and sensors don't actually STOP anyone (unless you're prepared to arm the drones). They merely alert CBP, who catch SOME of the illegal crossers, but some inevitably get through. CBP has said they need a wall/barrier. Don't be a sheep.

So much for being a different type of conservative. Even conseravatives in Texas and along the border think a wall is foolish and concerned by the overreach this represents. Will you support the president calling it a National Emergency and using the military to build it?
-
Yeah, I’m both conservative and in Texas and I know without a shadow of a doubt a wall/fence/physical barrier will work.

Tell me more about the crisis. Why do the people that love there not know anything about it?
-
I have seen a fair amount of ranchers that live in those areas complaining about these issues for years.

Trump had 2 years to get this started while the GOP held both houses, why wait until now? It only became a “national emergency” when the Dems won the house. I can tell a political stunt when I see it. This is it!

60 votes in the Senate and GOP was 10 short. It’s called civics....

Perhaps you should talk to your new colleague, Rep Will Hurd, the republican representing more of the border than any other republican, and ask him why he doesn’t want the wall. Ask about eminent domain and why a wall means government taking land from citizens.

I don’t feel that the government is taking land from us with the border wall. I feel it is trying to keep us safe so we can enjoy our land and feel safe while doing it
