This week, peaceful protestors in Raleigh gathered (socially distanced) in efforts to #ReopenNC. In response, @raleighpolice deemed protesting to be a “non-essential” activity.
The Right to Assembly is one in which Americans are justly entitled regardless of circumstance.

Stay at home order limits gatherings to 10 people. This gathering was incredibly irresponsible and poses a health risk to citizens and police. Right to assemble is not an unfettered right and can be limited by permitting and other restrictions.
