We need aggressive action to blunt the devastating economic impact coronavirus is having. I’m urging leadership to include relief for SC families, the hospitality & tourism industry, manufacturers + small businesses, servicemembers, and seniors in upcoming legislation.

Well since you have self quarantined yourself. I guess we will have to depend on Senator Scott and Graham. But your friends Nancy and Chuck will look after you.

Printing money is going to make the economy worse. What the Government needs to do immediately is start random testing of the population to get accurate data on this virus. Failure to do so is negligence. You are throwing money you don’t have a a virus you don’t understand.

Please keep in mind
Many in the service industry aren't firing their workers - they're just explaining that they are shut down. (No Unemployment Ins.)
Visitors tip well and that's how they can afford to live in an expensive city.
Many people in hospitality are self contractors.

Well intended Joe, but a little light on details. As an independent tour operator in Charleston, this time of year I should be pulling in a minimum of $500-$1000 per day. The city has put a total halt to our businesses. How is what you outlined in your letter going to help??
