Coach McKissick was the greatest high school football coach our country has ever seen - and a mentor and father figure to thousands of student athletes. It was a privilege to honor his life on the House floor today.

As a Goose Creek HS Gators fan, I am very saddened by the loss of Coach McKissick. I know many admired and respected him and I grieve with our Summerville Family.

Thank you for this. Coach McKissick to me was a teacher, principal, friend, neighbor and legend. He was a person I will forever look up to as a role model.
