I hope so too, but it more likely allows Republicans to weaponize the debt ceiling against a (hopefully) Democratic President in 2021. Why do we continue to assume the GOP negotiates in good faith when we have so much evidence to the contrary?
It’s my hope that this bipartisan budget agreement can lay the groundwork for future cooperation because when we work together we can achieve great things.
