Less guns,less easy to obtain,less easy to just carry everywhere, would be helpful too :) Hunting licenses, home defense licenses, insurance mandate and guns models need to be certified for these usages would be a start. Everybody that has a gun can keep it or sell it to the gov.

Really don't get it. People have to get a hunting or fishing license and auto insurance too. Lots of people would still have gun, especially in rural america I totally get it. License does not need to cost much if anything.

Yes, yes. It is about gun violence, not 2nd Amendment. We know as voters here in Texas there is great support for reasonable discussion on and efforts to end gun violence! Work hard on this, and health care!

3/3 And any kind of research would need to categorize each gsw death, as the CDC does, and not just label all gsw deaths as gun violence- that is dishonest & misleading.

Funding more research is just delaying decisive action. We have more than enough data and 1000x more than enough heartbreak and fear to know that more guns equals more deaths. Stop studying the problem and actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
