Hi, Rep. Cohen, I was 5 years old when I contracted polio in 1952. I was one of the patients in Pitts who was tested for antibodies and then given a trial vaccine by Dr. Salk when I was in rehab. I became an R.N., a mother of two, grandmother of three.Stay well!

God bless. And look at you now. I was one of the lucky ones standing in line as a 3rd grader to get my shot. There were no Antivaxxers then. Only the tears of grateful parents.

The Salk vaccine actually didn't work. That's why everyone had to be revaccinated with the Sabin vaccine, OPV.
