Direct deposit doesn't go into people's banks immediately. I.e payroll is sent on Friday (15th), it gets deposited on the following Thursday (21st) or Friday (22nd), maybe Wednesday (20th) but it should be deposited as soon as it's sent, which is that Friday or next day.
