Thank you, @RepChrisPappas and @RepJoeKennedy for standing up for transgender Americans. As a retired Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the USAF, there is no reason for this ban. Transgender Americans should have every right to serve in the Armed Forces of the U.S.

An analysis by the Rand Corporation last year found that the costs of allowing transgender people to serve in the military would be 2.4 million to $8.4 million out of the military health care budget each year instead of going to the care of those injured while serving.
