#OTD in 1865, Texans were officially notified of the end of slavery in the US. About 250,000 enslaved Texans had new legal rights.

I'm dumbstruck that you'd suggest Juneteenth represents anything positive about the founding of our nation - if anything, it's a huge condemnation and denunciation to our country's original sin of slavery!

The sincerity you’re trying to invoke is pretty moot when you have someone as openly racist as Wade Miller as your chief of staff. I find people who are so crass publicly tend to do so knowing the consequences won’t effect their job, so why does he feel so safe in his?
