Agree. The Founders would be disappointed that their vision of the Senate as the greatest deliberative body has vanished. Voters are not inspired. No creativity, no solutions. Just lobbyists and party leaders driving their agendas.
I spent time in the Senate listening to the #ImpeachmentTrial. What I saw were 100 senators and lawyers debating for hours. You’ll never see a debate w/ all senators or members present.

I get that things happen and everyone has lives to live... but there needs to be some type of real attendance policy for our elected officials. I’d be fired if I ditched work as much as some of them.

Have to get money out of politics first. As long as Congress is being paid to NOT solve problems, the problems are not solvable. Donors benefit, us peasants suffer.
