What are you hearing about in the news today? Whatever it is ... I guarantee you it isn't the fact that Congress is poised to push through a "spending deal" that will continue $1 trillion deficit spending. Keep in mind that is on top of the $23 trillion of debt we find ourselves.
Those on the Budget and Appropriations committees should have a constant reminder of the fiscal state of our nation. If they have to look our growing debt in the eye, maybe they won't continue spending our nation into oblivion.

With much respect, Rep. Roy, a pot of coffee and a Sharpie will work. It'll take a few weeks, but it'll get done. Leave time for last-minute revisions (nix poison pen insertions). Don't spend what we don't have, just like American households.
You guys don't even understand that currency issuing governments do not ever borrow the currency they are the monolopy issuer of. Ever! Where would anyone who isn't the US government, get enough US dollars to be able to keep the US government afloat?
