spend money we don’t have. House appropriators want to look members in the eyes and say, “you want to go see your family over Christmas? Well, then vote for this bloated spending package and hop on your flight home.” They’ve baked the cake. They just expect us all to eat it.

If you are not willing to cut our defense fund then you are not serious about bringing down the deficit. DC Is beautiful during the holidays, chances are your family would be better off without you.
