"Fad" is the perfect term. It always seemed to me that this transgend thing, w/it's increasing popularity has been nothing more than a fad. Ppl like to fit in & mimic whatever is 'in'. 2015, the style: "taking offense", 2017: emotional supp animals, now this, wonder what's next.
