Another business told us they've spent $5K securing their property. A major tent city has popped up across the street. Only yesterday, a truck pulled in a neighboring parking lot to do needle exchanges. The business is less than a 1/4 mile from an elementary + middle school.
We can do better. On Monday, I sent a letter to @MayorAdler calling for change. Yesterday, @GregAbbott_TX also called for action.

Suddenly you're showing interest in Austin! You do realize that homeless numbers have not increased, right? They're just in plain sight. If you're interested in helping send some federal dollars to help these people get off the streets I'm all ears. But more fear-mongering? Nope.
