I was thrilled to see my colleagues in the Senate vote to confirm my good friend Brantley Starr as the next District Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas.

A fellow graduate of The University of Texas Law School, I had the privilege of working alongside Brantley in the Office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton when I served as first assistant Attorney General.

As someone who knows Brantley personally, I can tell you that he is a man of integrity, has a firm commitment to the rule of law, and will uphold the United States Constitution. Brantley will make an outstanding federal judge.
